5 Best Beaches in Kennebunkport, Maine

  1. Goochs Beach- BEST FOR WALKS AND PEOPLE WATCHING Technically in Kennebunk, Gooch’s is the longest beach. It is the only surfing beach in the bunks. Parking can be tough but if you are from out of state you can buy a pass here for the day. There is no beach at high tide and the tide goes way our at low tide! Lifeguards are here in season. Really nice beach for walking.

  2. Mother’s Beach - BEST FOR YOUNG KIDS Called this because it is sheltered in a little cove and waves are smaller. (or at least this is what I always thought) There is a playground here so kids love it. Who doesn’t love pushing a child in a swing with an ocean background? Limited parking.

  3. Parson’s Beach - OFF THE BEATEN PATH Extremely limited parking but worth it. Marshes are beautiful.

  4. Colony Beach - HIDDEN GEM A bit out of the way but one of my favorite spots next to the river.

  5. Goose Rocks Beach - NICEST SAND Wide beach and soft sand. So beautiful. Make sure to stop at The Tides Beach Club for lunch or dinner
